would anyone know how to re-magnetize the screw driver it will not pick any screws any more thank you

Get a few rare-earth magnets (cheap on Ebay) and just stick them to the side of the screwdriver blade.
Done.

Good suggestion from Roy you already have but another option might be a screwdriver magnetiser. These allow you to magnestise the scredriver blade and also to de-magnetise should you want. Have a search on ebay using "screwdriver magnetiser" as your search. Here in the UK i could order one for 99pence which is approx $1.26 and that includes postage. Tony Happy Modelling

Both good suggestions. I use an old magnet from the back of a stereo speaker, just slide blade across magnet, all done. Andy.

You don't have to have any special magnets. Just find one that will make your screw driver stick to it and just rub the screw driver tip on the magnet. Basic science/magnetism.

Oh yeah, something else. If you just don't have ANY magnets around, then do you have a few inches of insulated small gauge wire and a 9v battery? Wrap a few turns of wire around your screw driver and connect the battery to the terminals of the battery for a couple of seconds and it should now be magnetized if you did everything right.
