BigGrin Hi all

The build starts with the engine consisting of several parts, take your time here to make sure everything lines up and is square to each part. The engine was made up to where anything else to be added to it is a different colour.

The chassis, rera gear box, drive arms chassis components and other engine components were assembled where needed and then cleaned up and mounted on cocktail sticks ready for undercoating.

The last pic shows the parts after two coats of undercoat.

An excellent start Andy, those resin parts look to be beautifully cast and of very high quality. I can see already that this will build into a stunning model.

Good luck with the build, I'll be following with great interest. Well done. Drool ThumpUp

BigGrin Made up the dash board and fitted it along with the top bulkhead. Next the spark plugs leads and distribution tube were made up I also added some shrink tubing here to keep things tidy. The upper cooling pipes were added next to the top of the engine.

The wire wheels have been made up. They consist of three turned aluminium rims for each wheel an inner, center and outer. Two etch spokes go onto the inner rim then the center rim is fixed in place along with the wheel hub. Two more etch spokes are added to the outer rim and then this is added to the previous assembly to make up a wire wheel with inner and outer spokes.

The rear wheels are larger than the front so be careful not to get the parts mixed up. I recommend carefully identifying each part for the wheels before any assembly takes place as they look similar until sorted correctly.

BigGrin The wheels have now been sprayed with Molatow Liquid Chrome and now must not be touched or messed with for 3 to 4 days so the chrome can cure properly. After this time you should be able to handle the wheels without marking the Chrome.

I spray Molatow at around 15 psi and the secret it to lay it down wet the wetter the better to get that chrome finish and I repeat leave the parts to dry for a minimum of 3 to 4 days before handling them. Cool
