I just got the projector recently and hooked it up but it's not working or doing anything except just projects white light. Any ideas out there what may be the problem?

Do you mean that you just got the projector build issues or have completed the build? If just testing during build, first put in new batteries. Used batteries seem to not have enough power. Also make sure you hold the button for a few seconds. It takes a little time to get anything to show.
