R2D2 build finished and Head does not rotate on startup, oddly if I power up with the charger plugged in it does rotate correctly on startup.
I have replaced the Head Motor and MCU board, checked all the connections no pins bent. The batteries are the specified type from 1850 and were each individually charged with the adaptor, pulling my hair out now please help.

Hi Paul,

The fact it functions as it should with the mains plugged in would seem to indicate it’s a power issue. Does he function normally in all other ways without the mains plugged in? What does the power level indicate as being, when viewed through the app?

This is where it gets weird, every function works perfectly other than the dome i can move the dome through the app, but shake head does not work, there is no power level being displayed in the app, Movements, Arms, Projector, Speech All work perfectly.
any help you can give very much appreciated I am pulling my hair out, ps just removed each battery and placed them back in the supplied charger to check and they all say FULL.

regards

I know this sounds real stupid. Re-seat the batteries and make sure the spring ends are on the terminal of the battery AND make sure the button end is seated correctly. I was having issues and realized my batteries didn't look right. I also re-seated my battery cables to the MCU. I am sure you also made sure your cables to the head have been checked to make sure they are correct and seated properly.
