Pack 7 I've sanded the coat of filler smooth. Got a few spots that need more filler. Hopefully that will finish things off. Mark mwstratton attached the following image(s): Currently: Soliel Royal, Deag DC-3, DeAg Ford Shelby Mustang GT 500

After you've sanded and got smooth give it a couple coats of sanding sealer which will help when starting to glue the next layer. It stops the wood being too porous. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Coming on great Mark. Sounds like you’ve got a very dusty room with all that sanding. Mark

Looking better and better each time I look in, looks like you're getting closer to applying the second layer of planking, that's when she'll really start to look like something special..... well done..... Regards Alan

Pack 7 I've finished the filling and sanding process. I must admit this is by far the smoothest planked hull I've built so far. After spending almost 2 hours cleaning my bench from all the sanding dust, I'm moving on. Pack 7 Before I started planking I decided to paint the gun ports to avoid spoiling the finished planking. Mark Currently: Soliel Royal, Deag DC-3, DeAg Ford Shelby Mustang GT 500

Very nice work Mark, amazingly built. I am just about to finish planking myself, and gonna start to sand and file. I just wanted to ask what type of wood filler did you use? and I want to have mine ready but I honestly don't know what would work best with this model. I have normal wood filler but it is not white in colour when drying.
Thank you very much.
Oliver.
