That looks very tidy. This is where you get to appreciate the time you spent on the first planking was so worthwhile. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Pack 8 I've started pack 8 by finishing the last layer of planking. One side complete and only the lower half of the starboard side left to do. I'm running into a possible problem. I only have 1 and 1/2 bundles of the planks I've used. There is another 5 bundles of a plank that is similar but darker and with less visible grain. Has anyone else noticed a difference in the plank colors? Thanks Mark mwstratton attached the following image(s): Currently: Soliel Royal, Deag DC-3, DeAg Ford Shelby Mustang GT 500

Hi Mark the planking for the outer hull does differ but if you mix them up with the lighter ones they should not notice to much. I had the same problem with mine. Martyn Building ? Completed. Pack 8 Final planking is done. the differences I noticed in the plank color was indistinguishable when fitted. Time for some sanding. Mark mwstratton attached the following image(s): Currently: Soliel Royal, Deag DC-3, DeAg Ford Shelby Mustang GT 500

You certainly pressed on well with that one and its looking very nice. I like those press in gun port frames. They will give a very nice finish. Hope it all continues well. Tony Happy Modelling

Have to say I think you've done a super job on the second planking layer Mark, heading towards being a fab build so keep it going...…. Very well done indeed..... It is very common with partwork kits to find strips of wood that look slightly different in grain and shade but, in my experience, I've never found this to be a real problem..... Regards Alan
