Trev,
You work is excellent and i have been following you on this from the strat. I hope to also jump in.
Question: do you have any idea what the purpose the double bottom on the coach serves? Could it contain ballast for the suspension?
Comments from you on the possible second build. Why oak? Hard and wide grained wood. Where would you apply it?

Hi Tnequette, Thanks for following my build,if I use Oak it will be on the chaise as I know it will be stronger plus I can polish it, also I have no idea regarding the double bottom you may be correct saying that it would be used for balance ? UPDATE: 14.7.19. Hi, Well the doors have taken a lot longer than I thought, after sanding and shaping to match the curve of the coach body the next stage was to french polish and fit the leather upholstery to the in side of the doors. First was to cut a thin piece of ply the the same size as the inner side of the door,this will make a good base to work with,I then trimed a piece of soft foam and glued it to the lower part of the door,after waiting for it to dry I then cut a piece of soft leather that was over sized folded the corners and glued. Next part was to make a paper pattern showing squares then laying it over the soft leather and using 5mm pins pushed each one into each corner push through into the wood back as far as they would could go,then I turned and cut the back of the pins off then glued to make all secure Thanks for looking more soon Trev. I was looking at the model trailways coach earlier which in appearance is very similar in finish to the amati version. With the model trailways you make up the seats from lengths of half round dowel you have to shape and round over at the fronts. These small sections are then glued together to form the seats. Must admit i much prefer the look of what you get in the kit you are building. Tony Happy Modelling
