I decided to have a different approach to the carronade than cpt.stedders,as I hav'nt had any experiance with gs.I'e used two pieces of match sticks as the mounting for the barrel.and I made up the retaining brackets out of some old fittings. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Nice collection of left over there Karl, including those orrid plastic hearts and blocks, Ive still yet to discard them from my Bounty, I do however have replacments (wooden) I do hope this build gives us WOODEN blocks!
Its probably worth mentioning about saving everything you have previously build, scraps of wood ect, you never know.

tell me if i am wrong , from the forum discussions i think you have the cannon wrong , it should be tapered towards the front of the barrel

Yes i do agree This cannon looks great, However the carriage should be tapered from the opposite end , I suggest you look at the other members efforts . the photos from the victory web site , show it tapered in the opposite direction .
