As soon as I am through building R2 (2 mnths) I am thinking about build a RC X-Wing that is scale to R2 and allows R2 to be seated in it. Sounds good anyway

Like the idea but your talking a half scale X-Wing here. I presume your thinking of using a minimum of 4 mini turbo jets here or as many as you can fit in each engine housing. Also with a R/C model of that size you will need to add double control systems one as a back up on a different frequency if one fails. The weight of the battery packs and fuel tanks could also be a problem to overcome. I like the idea though and good luck with your project Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Would be an interesting project, but based on the measurements of the X-Wing build here, a 1:2 scale X-Wing would be about 22' long and 19' across the wings! Good luck with that.
