Pack 12 Contains Stage 63 - 65

Stage 63

Carefully look t the circuit board fitted in stage 57. Each of the sockets has an identifying letter which corresponds to the eight cables (A, B, C, D, E, F, G and P). Make sure to properly identify them before proceeding.

Take the cable marked with the letter A and bring it over the circuit board. Locate socket A, at the front of the circuit board and insert cable A's connector into it, push the connector into the socket as far as it will go. Now fit the remaining cables in the same way and in order of F, P, D, E, C, B and finally G.

Place the rear right lights cable into the slot in the back of the battery box, on the right side then place the rear left lights cable into the slot on the left. Lay cable A into the slot at the front of the tank, then place cable B into the slot at the front of the tank on the left side.

Now place the battery box into place in the top of the tank. Insert the large flathead bolt from parts 50 into the hole at the front of the battery box and tighten into place to secure the box in position. Remove the battery box cover from the box and insert three (LR44) batteries, making sure to place them in the correct orientation. Replace and secure the battery box cover.

Take the remote control from parts 68 and three more (LR44) batteries. Remove the battery cover from the reverse of the remote control and insert the three batteries, taking care to them in the correct orientation.

Always aim the controller at the horn. Press the power button in the top right corner of the remote control, this should turn the bike 'ON'. At this point, try the kick starter on the right side of the bike to start the engine sound. Work through the buttons on the control to test the various functions as described in step 25 of the instructions.

Take the two halves of the tank from parts 64 and align the pins in one half with the corresponding holes in the other, press the two halves of the tank together. Insert the two posts of the tank into the corresponding holes in the upright part of the frame, between the rear cylinder and the oil tank. Secure the tank with a screw in the hole at the bottom.

Take one of the spark plugs from parts 64 and insert it into the hole in the rear cylinder, then insert the second spark plug into the corresponding hole in the forward cylinder. Take the shorter spark plug cable and insert it into the forward hole in the tank fitted earlier. Place the other end of the spark plug cable onto the top of the spark plug in the rear cylinder. Now insert the end of the longer spark plug cable into the other hole in the tank, placing the other end of the cable onto the top of the forward cylinder spark plug.

Remove the left screw from the headlight bracket and replace the screw with one of the replacement bolts received in parts 64, then replace the right screw with the second bolt.

Now you need the fuel tank from stage 1 and the tank screws from parts 64. Align the cables A and B with the frame and hold in place. Place the fuel tank onto the frame, over the cables. Align the holes at the front and rear of the tank with those in the frame and tighten the first screw into the rear hole, followed by the second screw in the hole at the front to secure the tank in place.

Replace the bolt holding the rear left footrest to the frame with the one supplied with parts 64.

This Stage is now complete. Carefully store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag for future use.

Stage 65

You need the seat assembly from stage 64, seat bases C and D, screws from parts 66 and the seat cover and screws from parts 67. Insert the end of seat base B into the narrow part of the seat cover and push the seat base all the way into the cover. Insert the end of the seat base C into the wider end of the seat cover and push the seat base into the cover as far as it will go. Place the tab of seat base C over the corresponding holes at the bottom of A and tighten one of the screws into the upper holes. Tighten the second screw into the lower hole. Pull the side of the seat cover under the seat base, then pull the cover down and over the tab on the inside of the base. Pull the cover over the next tab, forward of the first. Now pull the cover over the last tab on the left side of the seat base, then pull the seat cover over the tabs on the right side of the seat base.

Place seat base D into the bottom of the seat assembly, aligning the holes of both parts. Tighten the first screw in place at the rear of base D, followed by the middle screw and finally the third screw at the front. Hold the seat over the frame, aligning the hole in the underside of the seat base with the post in the cross member of the frame. Place the seat into position on the frame, align the holes in the rear of the seat with those in the sissy bar. Tighten one of the screws into the holes aligned on the left, then tighten a second screw into the holes on the right.

Take the four hoses from parts 39 and identify each with that shown in step 24 of the instructions. Take hose 1 and place it around the kick starter pedal. Insert the top of the hose into the rear of the oil tank, then insert the other end of the hose into the lower hole in the engine. Now take hose 3 and insert the upper end into the forward hole of the oil tank, insert the other end into the engine just below the ignition. Insert the lower end of hose 2 into the hole in the engine, above hose 1, then insert the other end into the hole in the oil tank next to hose 3. Now insert hose 4 into the hole in the side of the fuel tank, the other end goes into the carburettor. Check that the hoses are all in the correct places, as shown in step 34 of the instructions.
