BigGrin Hi All

This will be my next build which will include a full strip of the metal parts and a re-chrome of the chrome parts too. Most of the GT 2000's produced were either red or white but they also came in silver, green, blue, yellow and a one off gold one that Twiggy owned.

My chosen colour will be Zero Paints Bendix Yellow [ a sort of primrose yellow] and for the re-chrome I will be spraying Molatow. some of the smaller panels are plastic so they will just have a good rub down and respray.

At the moment I am striping the white using Nitro-mors paint stripper, an update will be pending when this is complete.

Absolutely amazing.
I've also been tempted by this kit many times in the past.

I'll be watching closely.

This looks like being another interesting build from you Andy, and one which I will be following. Good luck with the conversion.

I like the sound of the Bendix Yellow, should look stunning under a 'Diamond Clear Coat! Drool ThumpUp

BigGrin Thanks for looking in and your comments everyone, all appreciated.

@ Kev I think the Zero paints Bendix yellow colour is a direct match but with a different name to the yellow in the Toyota paint names listed in the link below its called Bellatrix yellow perhaps because Toyota has this colour's name still under copyright or that was the name used for US cars and Bendix yellow for European examples.

BigGrin The body and metal parts have been striped of the white paint then a grey undercoat was added to the parts . The grey was rubbed back and prepped with micromesh to get an even finish where needed. Then a coat of white primer has been placed on the body the doors ect will be getting the same treatment ready for the 1 st coat of yellow after another prep with micromesh. Cool

Making great progress already Andy, I'm sure this will be another stunning car build from you. I love that colour, it looks very much like buttermilk or home made custard - very tasty indeed! Drool ThumpUp
