Anyone ever thought of adding a Raspberry PI and/or an Arduino to R2D2, or is it just not possible to interface them to the MCU??

Hello Skyfire, no interest, in fact the controller card is already an raspberry pi like card. It's a customized Orange PI card like this one: http://www.orangepi.org/OrangePiZeroPlus2/And the card system is fully accessible, it's an android system like our smartphone.

There is a fellow on FaceBook that has done some incredible things with our wee little R2-D2. If you’re on FB, search for TRamp.
I would absolutely love it if he kitted his mods. Things like motorized doors, proportional steering, working card slot, all sorts of amazing things!

I have always thought it would fun to intergrate a Google Home Mini with R2D2, but I am not sure it can be done, (or if it would actually fit inside the body)!
