Hi Andy, Thanks very much for posting a link. I've seen a couple of these issues before [U-boot Im Focus], but couldn't find any reference to U230, which my model is based on. However, you have reminded me about these issues and so i've contacted the publisher requesting their help in sourcing photographs for me. Currently i'm awaiting a reply. Good evening from 'The Dockyard'. Just a quick update this week as the paint I ordered didn't arrive until yesterday, so didn't get any figure painting done. I did manage to prep two out of three figures that will occupy the bridge. I drilled 0.8mm diameter holes into the soles of the boots and attached brass dowel to securely fix the figures in place. Another photo showing the brass dowels. I also spent quite a bit of time on each figure removing flash lines and generally tidying them up with various needle files and a scalpel. With the locating holes drilled into the bridge, the figure is securely fitted in the correct place. It took longer than I thought to achieve the final positioning. I thought it better to do this kind of work before I start painting and will continue this method for all of the crew. That's it for this week. After test fitting the figure I realised that I would prefer the bridge to have mahogany decking to match the upper and lower decks and copy U995. To this end, that will be the next job before I start undercoating the figure shown in the thread and then painting it.
