Hi,

Although I do not know Japanese, I planned to use Google Translate on my phone to get my new Japanese-version of Robi to do some tricks (until I can get the English VR board and SD card) to swap them out.

However, before providing voice commands, I realize that I must get Robi out of his "intro" mode. I know I must answer one or more questions in this "intro" mode, but I am not sure which questions he is asking me. Can someone tell me the order of the questions in his "Intro dialog"?

Thanks,

Steve

Well, from one Steve to another, THANKS, STEVE! :-)

That helped a lot!

Here is what I have so far for the "waking-up process":

* “Ahhh” (eyes blink) (long pause)
* “Ohhhh” (stretches arms out, sits up, looks around, focuses on person)
* "Nice to meet you, I’m Robi” (brief pause)
* “I’m finally awake” (brief pause)
* “Thank you for making me” (brief pause)
* “So, tell me something about yourself” (brief pause)
* "Let’s decide what kind of robot I’ll be" (brief pause)
* “Please answer these questions with ‘Yes’ or ’No’, Ok?" (brief pause)
* 1. “Does my voice do a good job waking you up?"
* 2. ???
* 3. ???
* etc.
* Note: While talking, his eyes are lit and he shakes his head back and forth
* Note: Respond with “Yes, Robi” and “No, Robi” due to the limited voice recognition of short words

I wonder how to get the other questions from the "waking-up process".

Hmm, so I knew in English to say "Yes, Robi" and "No, Robi" (instead of just "Yes" and "No"), but are you saying that in Japanese I should say "Robi hai" and "Robi Īe" instead of "Hai, Robi" and "Īe, Robi"? And is "Īe" the correct word for "No" in this case?

Man, Steve, you are on the ball!

I must need to improve my Google / YouTube search skills, because I could not find something like that.

So, now I have all 5 questions!

* “Does my voice do a good job waking you up?” (answer “Yes, Robi” or “No, Robi”)
* “Has making me made you a bit of a celebrity?" (answer “Yes, Robi” or “No, Robi”)
* “You have other robots you like?" (answer “Yes, Robi” or “No, Robi”)
* “Do you know where Italy is?" (answer “Yes, Robi” or “No, Robi”)
* “Does a ride on a giant Robi sound awesome to you?" (answer “Yes, Robi” or “No, Robi”)
* "That was the last one.” (brief pause)
* "I look forward to spending time with you"

There is a way you can install and english voice recognition and speech unit, but it would obviously void any warranty you have because you will be modifying the robot.
