In this stage the stern gallery balconies are assembled. I painted the sides of the hull behind the balcony walls at this stage to make it easier.

Mark, where is you find Part D on stage 105 step E? It is not on the laser cut fret provided.

Yours is looking great!

Thanks

Hey John, Part D that you are looking for was included on the fret received with stage 100. I've attached a screen shot of the fret for you. If you threw it out by mistake, customer service will replace it for you. Just call them and request they ship you a spare stage 100. They do not charge for this service.

Are you posting a build diary? Would like to see your progress

Pack 10 - Stage 107

In this stage I finished build of the stern gallery balconies. The center plates on the rear balcony walls were fitted then all surfaces were sanded smooth.

All joints and gaps were filled with putty and sanded down. A clear matte sealer was applied to all the raw wood and allowed to dry

Then stern galleries and balconies were painted with French Blue (Vallerjo). the sides of the hull from just below the top row of gun ports up to the gunwales was also painted French Blue.

That's all for this stage.

Pack 10 - Stage 108

this stage is quick and simple. The bell and bell arch was built and fitted to the aft edge of the forecastle deck. I drilled holes along the deck edge fot the hand rail. I'm waiting for more 10mm columns from customer service and will finish the hand rail later.

2 2-step ladders were fitted going to each side of the forecastle deck.

Moving on,
Mark

Pack 10 - Stage 109

In stage 109 I fitted the last of the 3x3mm posts to the port and starboard sides of the forecastle deck.

This is also the stage where the gun ports are suppose to be painted. I chose to complete this step BEFORE the final hull planking was applied.

I painted and fitted the 16 round gun ports to the upper decks.

This completes the stage.

Pack 10 - Stage 110

I started this stage by building and painting 20 more gun port doors.

2 windows were fitted to the upper ports on the bow bulkhead.

The stern gallery balcony window columns were glued into positions shown.

Then the edges of the transom were built up with 2x5mm wood strips. The strips were painted French blue. The larger columns were then fitted to those strips.

This completes stage 110.

Pack 10 - Stage 112

The square window was fitted on the hull just below the mizzen chainwale. The panes of the windows, including the balcony windows, were painted to match the other windows.

The 3 mast collars were fitted around the mast holes in the decks.

The forward chainwales were assembled and fitted along the forecastle bulwarks.

Next I started fitting the decorations to the ship.

The stage is complete.

Thats a very nice looking ship you have there , love the combination of the blue and gold Love
Man he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be
Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
