This is in my opinion one of the best Technic sets of the year and Its flying off the shelves, the custom builds on the web are amazing. Its in my shopping trolley but Telford comes first unless I can sneak it passed the Mrs before then, she has eyes on the back of her head you know Blink

I have to say, I am also in the 'latter' from the OP.
However, it actually does look really good.

I wonder what one of these models would look like if someone repainted it, added detail, carpets, proper interior trim...?

Hi Roy
not seen one painted yet but its definitely getting some attention by the Lego community, I'm just going to build out of the box and see how she looks. I am a bit disappointed with the Land Rover description, not much added apart from a two page spread of the model at the end and nothing on the real thing.
The book is close to an inch thick Blink I hope its not one part one page again like the Porsche 911.
