Hello fellow modellers, newbie here, well relatively, back into my love of modelling again after 30 odd (cough) years.

Just finished the GT500 Mustang and previously the Eaglemoss DB5.

Now my first love, motorcycles. I have subscribed to this marvellous M1 Yamaha.

I have searched various forums in the hope of finding the answer but to no avail.
On the exploded view diagram which came with the first delivery I noticed that there was a definite battery compartment with 3 button cells under the tailpiece.

There also appears to be a LED for the rear light and micro-switch which looks like it should go under the seat base, all circled on image.

Not sure if this was just the prototype or intended for another market. If it's not included I'll just have to fashion one myself. Ta and look forward to posting some build pics.

Hi Bandit750,
Have a look at build instruction 23 where the tail light is shown I see no wiring or batteries so I guess it's not live. I have the exploded diagram also and I note that the parts you mention are not numbered so it looks like it's a do it yourself job if you have the capability.

I don't have any special knowledge like a moderator so this is all guesswork.

I would assume it was something considered in the planning and design stage but wasn't implemented.
Someone forgot to remove it from the diagram.

Roy.

Thanks gents for your input, makes sense.

Looks like i'll be cobbling something together then (drilling those little silver blobs out for a start) to make way for some fibre optics.

Might as well make a camera whilst I'm at it because looks like a space for that on the tailpiece Laugh.

Realised I should have posted all this on the M1 discussion topic Blushing , so if possible could a moderator move it to the relevant section ta.
