I know there are other pos on this topic, but I found none of them to be helpful. I am having a heck of a time connecting R2 via local WiFi. I changed my router to broadcast 2.4ghz only in hopes that would help but it was to no avail. When I try to go through the process. Is select my network, put R2 in local pairing mode, then push but 4 to start the paring.

When click the “skip tutorial” button from there, I come t the screen where is should display my home network, but all ever shows in the spot that should show my network ID is “WIFI”. I type my network password anyway and hit “join”. The QR code pops up and I seem to be able to get R2 to respond to it, but he responds with and angry tone and his light changes to red for a second before continuing to flash blue. By the way, I never get a fast blue flash...just a slow flash. In any case, I can get him to respond over and over to the QR code, but I get the same angry tone and red light. Nothing happens from there. If

I click “done, I’m taken to a screen that say “Discovering R2-D2...”. After a few seconds the prompt then displays “Failed to discover R2-D2”.

I’ve tried everything I can find or think of:
- restarting the app
- trying a different device (pad and iPhone both running iOS 13.1.3)
- restarting R2
- darker room
- changing my router settings to broadcast only 2.4ghz rather than mixed mode
- using my modem 2.4ghz WiFi broadcast ( yes my modem broadcast WiFi, and I have separate router that broadcast a different network now
- taking off the lens cover to get a an unobstructed view of the camera

I’ve read everything I can find on the forum and YouTube and nothing has been helpful. I’ve spent for too much time troubleshooting this issue and could really use some help. Everything else is work fine. For the most part. Control via direct mode is great. I do have the same issue other have mentioned of R2 not responding consistently to voicce commands and then going of and running into things, ignoring all sensor. Turning off the voice recognition feature seems to have stoped that, but there seems to be some obvious issue with programming/voice recognition that is disappointing given the price point of this, and it does not sound like the designers have any intent to fix it, but rather have coined it as R2 having a mind of his own. Don’t you just love it when product designers rebrand issues as features?

In any case, I digress...any help anyone can offer on the local WiFi network would be greatly appreciate.
