Nice work Roy, I knew you would get them to fit perfectly, probably better than the original car. Mark

Just curious... since the door had the gap due to rear being 1.5mm off, will the top end up having similar issues? Kit builder fanatic! Awaiting arrival: Jaguar E-Type and Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa Received: Lamborghini Countach 500S - build in progress; Shelby Mustang GT-500 build on hold need Pack 9

That shouldn't be a problem as I'll make my top to fit the body.

Two seats now cast in resin. Just need to trim them with black leather and then they will go in. After that, the doors can be fitted properly. I need to get the rear chassis 'cage' sorted and fitted and then the car can acquire some wheels. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

One door almost done. The race car has a very basic inner door panel that is actually just hardboard covered with black rexine. Mine is leather - woo-hoo.... I will add the side window when I have the roof in place so I know it's the correct shape and will fit properly. The other door to sort next. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Thanks Andy. The other door is now sorted and fitted, interior panel also added. The bonnet is all now in basic paint, but it needs a real polish when totally dry. Front wheels cast, painted and now fitted and the roof is formed and will soon be fitted. The final stretch is looming... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Thanks for peeping in chaps. I've now got the bonnet sorted and polished nicely, the roof has been trimmed, sanded, air vent added and painted, and the screens are now fitted to it. As yet it hasn't been fully 'fiddled' to fit nice and tight as that will happen when it comes to actually fitting it permanently. For now, I need to make the rear wheels etc and get the ol' girl standing on four feet... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Well, moving along now. Rear wheels fitted and the roof almost ready to fit. Bonnet sorted almost finished too. BTW - I made the auxiliary light covers from suitably curved clear plastic from an old drinks bottle... Not long now until it's all finished. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks for looking in chaps. Very much appreciated. Ok - now on the home straight. The roof has now been fitted permanently although there's still a bit of tidying up to do on it. Fuel filler added on the boot (trunk) lid, racing numbers on the doors, and the exhaust has been altered to be like the system on the actual car - side exit. Roof rubber seal added. Some small details such as tail lights, side lights, one single wiper, wheel centre caps. Tomorrow should see it sorted. roymattblack attached the following image(s):
