Hi Everyone
I would be grateful for some advice with a "how to fix" problem regarding the 1848 Stagecoach.
The centre hole for the axle on two of the wheel hubs have been drilled off centre. From the front of the hub the hole is central but is off centre at the rear of the hub.
Has anyone else had the same problem and if so, what is the best method to fix this annoying problem.

Hi

I guess there are maybe 3 options you could try:

1. If its a kit obtained via model space store contact customer setvices to see if they can send replacement parts.

2. If its not from model space, then try your retailer or artesania latina direct and ask them to supply replacement parts.

I contacted AL back in March and was able to contact them on email address. clientes@artesanialatina.net

3. If none of that is succesful you could then try plugging the existing holes by gluing in a suitable sized dowel rod. Then re-mark the centre and re-drill.

If you do a search on the internet for "how to find the centre point on a dowel rod" there are loads of hints and guides on how to find that centre point to re-drill.

Hi,

I did have off centred holes with all four hubs the only way to solve the problem for me was ( as Tony has said) to drill a larger hole at the rear of the hub plug and re-drill, keeping it all upright as you drill down through the front hole of the hub.
