After a bit of advice - I'm trying to do the 6 footrope supports on the main yard but the copper just keeps breaking as I twist it and I am fast running out of copper length. Any tips?

You may find information on this page useful. I didn't like the look of the brass wired ones so decided to make my own.... Hope it helps....

I had the same problem. You can buy copper wire from any crafting website and it will last you during your build. I make sure mine has been in the airing cupboard for a couple of hours before use.

BigGrin Another way of doing it is to run the copper wire through a flame till it gets cherry red and let it cool this softens the wire so it's easier to twist Cool
Hope this helps

You guys are ace! I will try these tips and also invest in a reel of copper wiring to last me.

It really was a sticking point and the reason I haven't done any of my build in two months!
