 Thanks for all the comments guys  Sorry I haven't posted for a while but life has really got in the way  . I was made redundant and have been running around trying to find a new job  plus my wife went into hospital last week for open heart surgery to replace a valve so have been running around like a headless chicken. Hopefully she will be home sometime this week . Thanks for the feedback guys I have been slowly working on the mizzen and mainmast rigging and have finally completed them . Next job the foremast and hopefully a bit more room to manoeuvre between the masts as its very tight fit between the mizzen and main  . I had to add two more pins to the rail to get the right number of belay points. Thanks again for following Martyn Building ?

Cheers for the feedback Mark The rigging has been completed on the foremast a lot easier than the mainmast as theirs a lot more room to get to the belypins Looking at the 1-10 model I noticed that there was another gunport on the mizzen quarter deck which was missing on my model so I have made mine out of 10mm dowel drilled in the centre with a 5.5mm drill and painted to look like the other gunports. This gunport was used for a 1.lb falconet I have started fitting the gunport lids to the side of the ship Thanks for following Martyn Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?

Cheers Mick for the comments I have now completed the Vasa and I have totally loved building this iconic ship A few little bits which needs adding but nothing that can't be fixed One little gripe is the name plate for the stand it does not show up very well unless you paint it certainly not as good as the one you get with the SotS  Not to sure what I will be doing next as nothing is floating my boat at the moment but who knows  Thanks for following Martyn Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?

Martyn Top quality bit of modelling with a beautiful looking ship to show for all the hard work. Really like the figures you have painted up and added. That chap in the rigging fits the rope spacing just perfectly. I was tempted to put this one away for a "rainy day" but not sure i could do justice to all that tiny detail painting.
