I am looking for a bit off advise and any help would be much appreciated

I purchased a plastic model ship and decided to get the after market bits including the wooden deck and some PE

Main reason was that if I painted the deck it would look like a plastic deck painted a brownish colour

Anyhoos not being familiar with PE I thought I would start with an easy?? bit, but I am struggling already

There are several watertight doors on a bulkhead which is hidden from sight unless you peered down the inside with a torch and a pair of binoculars, so that seemed like a good place to start/practise

I have removed these doors as per instructions and have a nice flat surface to fit the PE doors

Problem is I thought the PE would be 1 piece but it is actually made up of 3 parts and there is no instructions for these

Which probably means this is so straight forward therefore no instruction required
Obviously doesn't cater for thickos like me then

I am not sure if

1. do I use all 3 parts 1 on top of the other
2. stick the first and 3rd part together only
3.only use the 3rd part
4.stick 1st and 2nd part together and 3rd part used for leaving the door open

is there a guide for dummies

Yes, fold the three parts in a 'Z' fashion.
That way, you get a double thickness door with a frame on one side.

Just a word of warning.You dont get many chances at bending PE parts.If you try to bend them too many times they will break apart.You can anneal the PE parts by heating them with a cigarette lighter.That makes the metal less brittle.
