I found other people with similar start-up problems, on this forum, but not really the exact same. Essentially, I try the start-up procedure- R2D2 makes a small, jerky motion, forward, and the dome begins to spin clockwise. Problem is, it keeps spinning clockwise, until it hits the stop, but for whatever reason, the sensors are not telling the dome to stop, once the lug gets to the max travel.

Red light is on during the entire time I am trying to do this.

All electrical connections were confirmed secured, and plugged in correctly. The sensors were tested and passed, during that particular stage of the build.

Any thoughts?

It really looks like one of the sensors. Remove the head connection and the sensor connections from the CPU. Test the sensors while still mounted. Inspect he connectors real close and make sure the pins haven't shifted or anything. The inky other thing that I can think of is that either the CPU has an issue or you may have a sensor plugged in backwards, which is probably the most common issue. Good luck!

Fred,

Thanks! Your were 100% correct. I got a flashlight down where the sensors connect to the main board. I found one of the wires on one of the connectors, had pulled out of the connector housing just enough, to not make contact. What a relief- have waited 2 years for this day! Your response was very much appreciated.
