Hello, I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I’ve completed the DeAgostini R2-D2 build, and like many others am having issues getting it started up. I have not yet come across my issue in the forum though. I’ve checked the battery, and it’s good. But my issue happens regardless of if I’m plugged in or on battery power. At first glance, it looked like nothing was working. However, I noticed that while I hold the power button (lowest button in front panel), the horizontal lights on the back of the head, and the blue sensor lights in the left/right legs all seem to light up. If plugged in, the speaker also crackles. But nothing else seems to be getting power. I’m guessing a bad connection somewhere in the chain of circuits, and was hoping someone here had a similar issue and could share how they tracked it down, or knows what the circuit order is and might be able to guide me to which component I should be looking at. Everything looks like it’s connected ok. Thanks, Jay

Here is a guide that might help, the link is below. It would be worth checking everything methodically, including going through the start up procedure again. https://forum.model-space.co.uk/...aspx?g=posts&t=32756Regards Mark Regards Markwarren (Mark) Admin

Hi,
Actually, this is the guide I used to figure out how to check the battery and make sure connections looked ok (on first sight).
Thanks for replying though :)

Assuming you have the right batteries, the first thing I would try is pulling the batteries out and moving the positive side contacts in the box closer to the batteries. I don't think all the button tops are equal. Next is unfortunately unplugging everything and rechecking all connections.

Yeah ... I was afraid of that.
Ok, guess that’s what I’ll do next.
