Issue/Stage 37 Contains – Fuselage Lower front Panel, Antenna Retaining Plate, Antenna and Wiring, Switch and Wiring, Switch Retaining Plate, XW02 Screws (X11), Nose Front Section.

Assembling the Nose

Take the three plastic parts provided, plus six of the XW02 screws. Align the rear section of the nose with the lower fuselage panel and match up the three lugs and hole. Join the parts by placing three XW02 screws as shown. Attach the front and rear sections of the nose with three more XW02 screws as indicated.

Fitting the Electronics

Take the antenna (numbered 9), and align the antenna with the recess shown, which surrounds a circular hole and has an opening in one side. Press the casing of the antenna into the recess so that it fits flush and the wires come out of the opening. Fix the retainer with the two fixing holes with the smooth side facing up and fix with two XW02 screws. Route the wires in a smooth curve and press them between the two posts to hold into place.

Take the switch (numbered 10), and align it with the recess, which surrounds the circular hole. The wire should be facing the nearby magnet. Fit the retainer over the switch and fix with two XW02 screws. Route the wires and press them between the two posts as shown to hold in place.

The “X” of the antenna and the square button of the switch should both be visible from the underside of the fuselage.

This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.
