Issue/Stage 37 Contains – Fuselage Lower front Panel, Antenna Retaining Plate, Antenna and Wiring, Switch and Wiring, Switch Retaining Plate, XW02 Screws (X11), Nose Front Section.
Assembling the Nose
Take the three plastic parts provided, plus six of the XW02 screws. Align the rear section of the nose with the lower fuselage panel and match up the three lugs and hole. Join the parts by placing three XW02 screws as shown. Attach the front and rear sections of the nose with three more XW02 screws as indicated.
Fitting the Electronics
Take the antenna (numbered 9), and align the antenna with the recess shown, which surrounds a circular hole and has an opening in one side. Press the casing of the antenna into the recess so that it fits flush and the wires come out of the opening. Fix the retainer with the two fixing holes with the smooth side facing up and fix with two XW02 screws. Route the wires in a smooth curve and press them between the two posts to hold into place.
Take the switch (numbered 10), and align it with the recess, which surrounds the circular hole. The wire should be facing the nearby magnet. Fit the retainer over the switch and fix with two XW02 screws. Route the wires and press them between the two posts as shown to hold in place.
The “X” of the antenna and the square button of the switch should both be visible from the underside of the fuselage.
This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 38 Contains – Top Skin, Trailing Edge Detail, Power Couplings X2, Laser Cannon Support, Plant on Detail X4.
Assembling the Wing
Take the lower skin, laser cannon support and plant on details. The detail labelled “A” in the diagram fits into the recess as shown. Fit all the details to the wing as shown in the diagram.
The back of each power coupling disc has a “D” shaped mounting lug in the centre. One has two recesses in the rim, the other has one larger recess. Thake the one with the single recess and fit to the wing as shown, aligning the lug so that the recess fits over the long rib in the wing. Take the second disc and fit over the other rib in the wing. Align the trailing edge detail as shown and match up its five tabs with the shots as shown. Press the detail firmly into place.
This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 39 Contains – Trailing Edge Conduit, Outer Wing Frame, Leading-Edge Support, Trailing Edge Wiring, Leading Edge Wiring, Wing Root Brace, XW03 Screws (X3).
Assembling the Wing
Start by taking the metal frame, the two sets of wiring and conduits, two of the XW03 screws and the wing assembly from stage 38. Line up the metal frame as shown, matching the holes with the pins moulded onto the wing and secure with two XW03 screws. Take the wing root brace and line up the two holes on the back with the matching pins on the wing and press firmly into place. Now take the trailing edge wiring, which has angled ends and line up the three holes and press the wiring into the pins as shown. Fit the trailing edge conduit, lining up the three pins with the three holes as shown. Fit the leading-edge conduit as shown below pushing it firmly into the pins in the wing. Finally, take the leading-edge wiring, noting which way round it goes and push into place as before.

Issue/Stage 40 Contains – Engine Mount, Leading Edge Support, Plant on detail, XW02 Screws (X2)
Preparing the Mount
Take all the components provided this time, together with one of the two screws. Fit the two pins on the back of the small plant on detail into the holes in the triangular leading-edge support as shown. Press the detail into place so it fits flush. Fit the bracket on the back of the leading-edge support to the engine mount as show. Press the left-hand hole on the bracket into the locating pin and secure the other hole with an XW02 screw.
