Good afternoon from 'The Dockyard'.

More progress this week fitting pipes and valves around the aft torpedo tube.

The first job was to make a three-way valve chest. See attached photo.

Next job was to make a funnel [pigs ear] and pipe. Fitted below the three-way valve chest, water could drain down the funnel and it's pipe and into the compensating tanks below.

Good morning from 'The Dockyard'.

In this weeks update I scratch-built the motor and gearbox that controls the rudder and diving planes. It's located in the deck-head, the ceiling for non-maritime types, just in front of the aft torpedo tube. There is a manual over-ride, which I will make in a future post.

The spares box was raided and I used various diameters of plastic rod and square tube, brass rod and tube and a bit of 'riveted' etched brass for an inspection cover.
