Ok guys it’s been a long time since I posted anything build related. Almost two years now. I decided it’s time to jump back into the fire and start up again. I still plan to finish my custom TB2 build, which you can find the thread for just a few threads below this one. However I am not ready to start that up just yet. This thread is for building all the small vehicles that came with the kit. Save for three, I don’t plan to use any of them for my custom build. I currently only plan to build them stock. Originally I had plans to paint extra detail bits here and there but have since changed my mind. This is more a practice build to get back into things and back into posting my builds. I am going to build them in order that they appear in the instructions just for the sake of simplicity. I have built the Elevator Car #1 in the past. It was from the Japanese packs I originally bought before I subscribed from MS. I wasn’t planning on rebuilding it but my skills and tools have developed over the last few years. That and I wasn’t very careful when I stored it so it kinda broke. So might as well build the extra one I have now. That’s it for now I will probably post up the first photos this weekend after other prior obligations are done. DeAgostini kit builds:

Great to see you back with us, welcome back.... Look forward to seeing what you come up with on the vehicles..... Regards Alan

I made some good progress this weekend. Built and photographed 7 vehicles. Got so caught up in building I didn’t leave time for editing and uploading photos. Will work on that through out the week. Will at least try for one per day if not more. DeAgostini kit builds:

Its been a while since I posted photos on here so re learning the process as its not straight forward when doing this from my phone. I will edit the posts as necessary as I get this figured out. First up is Elevator Car #1 parts and assembly photos from Stage 1. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:
Millennium Falcon: 18% Complete Shelby GT-500: 28% Complete Thunderbird 2: 13.75% Complete

I know I said I would build them in order but I decided to keep going with the Elevator Cars. So next up is Elevator Car #2. Decided showing build photos was pointless since is basically same as the first one. So just the one photo of the two cars together. The parts for Elevator Car #2 are in Stages 12, 13 and 14 Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:
Millennium Falcon: 18% Complete Shelby GT-500: 28% Complete Thunderbird 2: 13.75% Complete

Continuing the Elevator Car trend. The parts for Elevator Car #3 are in Stages 36, 37 and 38. Here is a group shot of #1, #2 and #3. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:

Last but not least Elevator Car #4. Sometimes it’s fun to work on multiple similar builds. Parts for this one were in Stage 64, 65, and 66. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:

Ok now for something different. This time it’s the Thunder Bird 4. All the parts and build instruction are from Stage 3. This one didn’t got as smooth. Everyone else had so I just glued and assembled instead of testing fitting. This was a big no no and almost messed it up. I salvaged it but it’s far from perfect. Up next are Recovery Vehicle 1 and 2. This first parts to work on are the base, wheels and treads. Since both are identical for are identical for this part I decided to do them both at the same time. Parts for Recovery Vehicle 1 are found in stage 6 Parts for Recovery Vehicle 2 are found in stage 9 File Attachment(s): Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:

Now time for something a bit smaller. The FAB1. Not my favorite of the vehicles but I was surprised by this little model. Very simple build but challenging cause of tiny parts. Lots of details that really pop when it’s all together. This is the first half of the build from Stage 15. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:
Millennium Falcon: 18% Complete Shelby GT-500: 28% Complete Thunderbird 2: 13.75% Complete

And the second half of the FAB 1 build from parts found in Stage 16. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:

Now we get to the Firefly. This parts are found in Stage 20 and build the track base for the Firefly. Pretty much the same build as the tracks for the Recovery vehicle so just showing the parts and assembled section. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:

Next we have the main body of the Firefly. Lots of little parts and details. This part was fun and took a bit more time the some of the others. I really enjoyed it. Almost broke the nozzles though. Everything was going to get her super easy and smooth. Got confident and didn’t test fit the turret part the nozzle is mounted on. It was tough to get the part in and while pushing it in out a bit too much pressure on the nozzle piece. Thankfully glue and other parts surround it made it nice and sturdy. I really gotta fit these pieces so if I need to make adjustments I can do it before it’s too late and I have already applied glue. Metal Mech attached the following image(s): DeAgostini kit builds:
