Hello everyone, a happy christmas to you all. I have just finished pack 11 and cannot get the fabric roof to sit flat when closed, it is rippled on both sides as if it’s to big for the opening. When pulled back open it looks ok but closing it not good. Anyone else having a problem. Andy. Have included 2 photos of leather roof I have fitted as the fabric roof would not stay flat.

Hi Andreas, thanks for the pictures. I will be making my own roof in leather to see if I can do better than the supplied fabric one. When locked in place taking the tension it still has ripples in each section of roof as if the fabric between each of the eyelits is to wide but in the open position it looks ok. I’ll see what I can do failing that I will ask for a replacement fabric roof to see if mine is wrong. Regards Andy.

Andreas wrote:Hi Andy. There are small increases on the left and right in the front rail. When closing, you have to press the rail over the ridges. So the folding roof tensions and stays in position. I didn't have these problems, but I changed the folding roof just to make it more realistic.
Hello Andreas, What material did you use for making your folding roof?, it looks very effective. Best Regards Keith.

Wow!! Beautiful. I am so impressed with the talent in this hobby. I had a particularly tough time getting my VW Beetle fabric top to lay right. I wish there was a better option. or maybe it is fine and it is just the builder.

Have made my own leather roof section and fitted. Wasn’t happy with the supplied fabric roof as it wouldn’t sit flat. Andy.

Those new tops look great. Well done you guys for 'tweaking' the actual kits. All part of the fun. Roy.
