Hi Alan the wood is rubbish I purchased some 5 mm x2 mm from elswhere, I am still using the wood which came with the build but not on bends or curves. Nice one mate. Looking good. Had me worried then. Looking at your top pic the fillers between the bulk heads look like bumps. But scrolling down the the last pic the filler only goes half way creating an illusion at a different angle. Lol

As I was planking,I felt I would show people new to modelling how a plank will show you which way it should go. You will see that the plank suddenly feels better going another route, and therefore avoids `clinkering` and stressing the plank, the gap above the plank (towards the Keel) I will fit tapered planks. As this is the first layer of planking its not critical, the second layer will be. Well how exciteing is it this morning to receive issue 30 !!!!!!!! NOT!!! At this rate of planking the build could take 5 years  (I am pleased I ploughed ahead) This week the builder puts 2 layers of planking on. We received this week 20 planks and a pack of pins, and next week much of the same?????  I am not leaving the pins in the plank, after the plank is dry I remove the pin, its easier when fitting and at the end when sanding. thank god i will be saving up the parts, this build seems so slow, no wonder it is taking 100 issues and it seems to be really talking about newbies as 1 row of planking one week and 2 the next is taking the p*** out of everyones intelligence  current builds

Notice how I use pieces of offcut planking to use with a pin to hold the plank in position, so it does not split the wood. Well, better news this week, issue 31 shows the modeller putting lots more planks on the Hull so we are now moving Next week in issue 32 we will receive parts for a cabin top, a packet of brass eye loops, 3 x 4mm x 1mm planks and the rudder reinforcement pieces. Much better progress.
