Loving the build Phil. I think after seeing all of the incredible details you have added into this one trying to build it as supplied by the partwork will not look at all good as it will show up so much that is missing. Yours looks absolutely amazing. Mine has gone further and further down the list of "when do I ever think I will get around to building this". Tony Happy Modelling

Good morning from 'The Dockyard'. A little more progress made this week by scratch building a compressed air cylinder. This cylinder is part of a myriad of various sized compressed air cylinders, which i'm currently building and will post updates on these next week. I started off by cutting to length a 3.5mm diameter styrene rod. With careful filing I shaped the domed ends and I have to say i'm very pleased with the way they have turned out. The next step was to make and fit straps, front and back using styrene strip. Following on from this I made the air gauge, fitted to one end and finished off by making the support brackets, again, from styrene sheet. The attached photo shows the completed compressed air cylinder prior to painting. Good afternoon from 'The Dockyard'. Last week and this week I have been busy scratch building the myriad of compressed air tanks and gauges for firing a torpedo from the aft torpedo compartment. Materials used are styrene sheet and rod, brass gauze, various diameters of solder and 0.5mm brass rod as locating pins. The attached photo shows a front view of the air tanks awaiting painting.
