Issue/Stage 65 Contains – Rear Cockpit Bulkhead, Horizontal Support, XW05 Screws (x3)
Rear Cockpit Bulkhead, Fitting the Support
Take both the components provided, plus two of the screws. Fit the two parts by inserting the location pins on the support into the holes in the bulkhead. Press firmly together. Fix the parts together with the two XW05 screws as shown.

Issue/Stage 66 Contains – Rear Fuselage Base.
Rear Fuselage Base
This issues component forms a large part of the structure. As well as supporting the rear of the fuselage and the outer full plating, it will carry the mounting on which the S-foils are hinged. It also has a concealed battery compartment and support for the display stand.
This issue/stage is now complete. Store any remaining parts in a stage labelled bag.

Issue/Stage 67 Contains – Remote Control Back & Front Panels, Remote Control Circuit Board, Control Buttons, Battery Terminal Bridge, Battery Cover, Battery Terminal and Wiring, X-Wing Circuit Board, XW03 Screws (x4).
Assembling the Remote Control
Take all the components provided, except the X-Wing circuit board. Start with the remote-control front panel and battery terminals. Take the terminal that has a spring on it and align it with the front panel as shown. Slide the rectangular backing plate into the slot as shown, then take the terminal that has a dimple and align it in the next slot. Push the terminals into the slot, use a screwdriver to press both terminals all the way. Take the battery terminal bridge and align it as shown, pushing it into places as before. Now take the remote-control circuit board and plug the wire into the terminal on the board. Note the plug will only fit one way. Now, insert the control buttons into the front panel. Line up the circuit board with the assembly and gently press the circuit board into the front panel fitting it into the two locating pins. Secure the circuit board with two XW03 screws in the two holes as shown. Hook the two tabs at the top of the remote control back into the slots in the front panel, then fit flush with the front panel. Secure with an XW03 screw. Hook the tabs at the top of the battery cover into the slot in the back panel, then slide the cover up until it snaps into place, fitting flush.

Issue/Stage 68 Contains – Gearbox Casing, Gearbox Cover, Electric Motor, Thin Spindles (x3), Thick Spindle, Motor Mount, Large Drive gear, Intermediate Gear, Reduction Gears (x6), Drive Pinion.
Assembling the Gear Box
Take the gearbox casing and the four spindles, one of which is thicker than the other three. Start with the thick spindle and place it in the hole as shown, follower by the other three thinner spindles in the other three slots. Take all eight gears, leaving the small driving pinion for now. The six reduction gears are identical and attach to the first two spindles as shown. Insert the first on the six reduction gears to the first spindle, making sure it goes all the way down. Now fit the second gear to the second spindle as shown, again making sure it locates with the previous spindle all the way down. Follow the sequence of these gears as shown in the diagrams to the first two spindles until all six have been used. Slip the intermediate gear into the third spindle as shown, followed by the remaining drive gear over the thicker spindle at the end of the gearbox. Make sure all the cogs are connecting. (Note, I used some silicon grease to help the gears move in the case). Take the gearbox cover and four of the XW08 screws provided. Carefully line up the four projecting spindles with the mounting holes in the gearbox cover and press the cover onto the spindles taking care not to dislodge them or the gears. Secure the cover in place with four XW08 screws as shown.
Take the rest of the components provided and start with the electric motor and small and driving pinion. Fit the pinion onto the motor’s drive shaft, pressing it onto a work surface to push on as it is intentionally tight. Fit the pinion into the hole near the end of the gearbox as shown. Press the motor into the gearbox. The pinion needs to mesh with the reduction gear. Take the motor mount and fit it over the motor as shown making sure the motor wire goes through the middle of the mount. Fit the slot on the outer end of the mount over the projecting tab on the end of the gearbox. Line up the fixing lug on the mount with the hole in the gearbox and secure with an XW08 screw.
