Issue 53 First of all fit 2 secondary barbettes to the deck, then add details to the second main gun. Then fit the gun Base and Base plate to the gun. Then fit the gun to the barbette, fixing it on via the gear that goes on underneath. Make sure the arrow on the gear faces forward. Issue 54 Here just another hull plate fix as before, and finally got around to painting the bow deck red and adding the swastika decal. All looking very good. My parts are going into storage at the moment fir when i can find time to put it all together. It was too good a kit to pass up and with all these things if you are not in at the start you miss out. Hope it continues well. Tony Happy Modelling

I have to admit I was skeptical about this when it was released, but the more I see of it the more I like it.Unfortunately its not available in USA, but I am really enjoying the builds posted here on the forum and I think this will be a real showstopper once finished with all the working features.

Making great progress with this build Mick and looking really good, well done. I like the way that the red of the swastika markings really lifts the appearance of the bow section, really makes it pop.
I'm surprised that it is included as normally such insignia aren't allowed in this politically correct world - especially in Germany! Or did you add it through your own methods as a personal choice?

Hi kev was added as personal choice the decals are from custom decals down under in Australia. As far as I know it still not allowed in Germany, the blast bags are also my addition just from little finger of latex gloves as they need to work ,cheers mick. Issue 57 First of all glue in the 2 target finders on the forward superstructure, then glue in the 6 searchlight directors on the same deck.then bend the 2 bits of etch that need bending, then glue on the 2 etch antenna outriggers on the underside of the searchlight platform, then glue in the previous bent support to the underside of the gallery, then the other bent bit floor platform between the support previously fitted.then glue in the other etch outriggers to the underside of the foretop gallery. Then it's put together the 15cm gun and fit this to the deck by fixing the cog from underneath. Then fit the limit switch.now we get to test previous fitted electrics, the 2 radars,and the recoil on the second main turret,then it's swap boards to test the lights. Issue 58 Here we just fit the motor to the first 15cm gun previously fitted, just plug the lead in put the gear on the end of the motor,sit it in the housing underneath the deck and secure all in place with the cover.
