Hi all

Well lockdown and being furloughed has given me the perfect opportunity to carry on with my build. However, I'm on stage 76 and, although my first two 'part 70s' do fit under the wale, the third part 70 does not fit under the thicker wale. So, I feel I am faced with two choices - 1: trim away the thicker wale so that it sits there nicely or 2: trim away a 'step' in the third part 70 so that it sits over the thicker wale.

Anyone else experience and this? What did you do? What would be my best option? I'm actually quite pleased with my build so don't want to ruin it now!

Many thanks
Gandale

You don't mention how far out it is before the 3rd part 70 will fit under the wale so I'm assuming it isn't out by much. I would be tempted to sand the 3rd part so as to narrow its overall thickness. That way you wouldn't have to cut the wale or try and cut a step in part 70. Do you have the same problem on the other side of the stern?

Hope this helps..

Regards

Alan
