To be honest so much time is taken up with work that spare time is precious and barely leaves time for modelling let alone taking pictures resizing and uploading them and doing a write up. Especially when people can't even see them properly. I also miss the competitions even though one was promised last year. Bring back the build of the year I say. So come on admin give us a forum worth fighting for. Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Martyn Ingram wrote: I'm with you Steve I tried to look at someone's build and had to refresh 18 times to even look at most of the pictures very annoying Martyn Totally agree I am not a great builder,I am not a great photographer, but I do enjoy my attempts and I like to show my progress. To get some feedback for encouragement is great but when I cannot even see my latest up dates I do get the feeling off “why bother”and find it very easy to just not bother I do seem to have had a lot of views tho,but that is because I have had to refresh the page about 20 times every time I make a post as I see between 0,1,2,3,etc pics of which I have posted However I can appreciate that a lot of people have joined this forum when purchasing a subscription or full kit but will post on their regular forum as they are used to the procedure and members Anyhoo happy building everyone

Hello peeps long time no see! Not been here for a long while, a few reasons, 1 of which I will not go into major detail, but being taken for a mug will do! Pictures have always been an ass, 90 refreshes to see them is not good. Also viewing a topic and finding it has reset all topics so you have no clue what is new and what you have viewed. Great forum, amazing modellers and people, just needs a few tweeks!

Howdy Daran!
Great to have you back on here mate, missed your fine skills, cool models and great banter! Totally agree with all that you say about the forum too, it really does need sorting and soon, for the benefit of the forum.
Welcome back mate!

Hi All,
A few weeks ago, DeAgostini “mapped” these forums in preparation of a move to a new server/platform. Now, before anyone gets too excited, I’ve no idea WHEN this move will take place. The mapping occurred prior to the Covid19 pandemic, and Italy is still locked down. (Like the rest of us) BUT! There is progress!!
I’ll post an update as soon as I know more.

If you’d been paying attention, you’d have seen my posts regarding new forums elsewhere, for MONTHS now! I posted again to remind everyone that the issue is finally being addressed. (In case folks forgot, or missed my other comments.....)

So come on admin give us a forum worth fighting for. The problem with contests, and the build of the year, is that the participation was pretty crappy. Not much sense in giving away a kit in a contest that had 16 responses... The FST is trying to come up with something that increases both forum participation, AND fuels enthusiasm for a contest.

It would be nice, if this place does move that the new place has full mobile device support. :)

Martyn Ps the name is Martyn not Marty Oops. Dropped the N. Sorry! Regarding the “upgrade” all in due time. Since you’re former FST, you know the value of patience, I assume? The site has been mapped. At this point, with the world sorta shut down, I’ve NO idea when the migration will occur. Until that time, we ALL just need to deal with it, as is. We’ve all been tolerating it so far, and I’m pretty sure we can continue to deal with the current status quo without further belaboring a dead horse. Topic locked.
