Hi Alan, Great work all round, how long has it taken you to get this far with your build and what amazes me is how you can keep to the same build standard, in particular, your painting. Regards Trev Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).
OcCre- Santa-Maria (Kit).

This is what always amazes me too, Trev. The standard never drops and all apparently done so quickly as well. When I look at my own efforts, I see all the little faults I make and would never pass the scrutiny of you guys. Happy Easter to all. Chris

Stage 130 Contents: Sail S3, Ribs and Trucks
Drill four 1mm holes on the port side of the main top then fit four deadeyes DE2 through the holes and tie them off to the last ratline. Repeat the process on the starboard side of the top. Now drill three 1mm holes in the port side of the mizzen top then rig three deadeyes DE1 through the holes, tie them off to the last ratline. Repeat the process on the starboard side of the top.
Rig a shroud from each deadeye of the fore top up to and around the fore topmast, eight in total. Repeat the process to rig four shrouds on either side of the main topmast then install the six shrouds to the mizzenmast. Now rig the ratlines on the newly fitted shrouds, following the same process as for the lower shrouds.
Rig the shrouds and ratlines between the fore topmast top and the fore topgallant mast crosstrees. Then rig the upper shrouds of the mainmast in the same way. This completes the fitting of the shrouds and ratlines.
Take four lengths of black thread and tie a 5mm block at one end of each. Tie the lines under the foretop, one 130mm long and one 160mm long on each side. Tie a 5mm block to the first free eye on the port forechains with natural thread. Tie the end of a length of natural thread to the 5mm block at the end of one of the 130mm lines. Lead the line down and through the new block, back up and through the upper block, then down and tie off to the first eyebolt. tie another 5mm block to the next free eye on the port forechains. Then repeat the process to rig it to the 160mm line. Repeat on the starboard side. Now repeat the process on the main mast and chains, this time with one 100mm length and two 130mm lengths on either side. Repeat the same process to fit the two lines to either side of the mizzenmast, lengths of the lines need to be 70mm below the top.
Retrieve yard Y1 from stage 114 and stain with wood stain. Also retrieve sail S1 from stage 128. Now follow steps 20 to 24 of the instructions to attach the sail to the yard and dress with blocks and lines. Suspend the spritsail yard from the bowsprit by wrapping the sling around it, then tying it off to the yard. Make sure you have the sail in the correct orientation, with the rear facing towards the stern. Tie two 4mm blocks to the forestay and two 5mm blocks to the bowsprit with natural thread at the distances shown in step 26 of the instructions.
Now rig the spritsail yard braces. Tie a line of natural thread to the forestay, pass it forward through the 5mm block hanging from the end of the yard, aft through the 4mm block on the forestay, down through the 5mm block on the bowsprit, then aft and tie off to the outer pin on the second rail. Repeat on the other side so that both braces are rigged. Keep them slightly tensioned so the yard is square and secure the knots with a drop of glue.
Rig the two clewlines, passing a line from the 5mm block hanging from the yard, down and through the blocks in the clews of the sail, then back up and through the 5mm blocks and finally aft, tying off to the outer pins of the forward rail. Before tying off, pull the lines slightly to raise the clews of the sail and secure the knots with a drop of glue.
Add the sheets by tying a line to the clews of the sail, passing it aft through an eyebolt on the side of the forechains, finishing the line with a 4mm block between the fifth- and sixth-gun ports. Complete the sheet by fitting a line to the side of the hull with an eyebolt, pass it forward through the sheet block, then aft through the hole between the bulwark and rail, lead the line forward again, finally tying it off to the cleat on the inside of the rail. Secure with a drop of glue. Repeat on the starboard side.
Store any unused parts in a bag labelled with this stage number. This build stage is now complete. Gandale attached the following image(s):

Great build update, superb work on a very complex model. After several reloads I did get to see all of your pictures which is great and show the first class quality of your work. As you say the next stages are huge and rigging sails is a long and arduous task but worth it in the end. Good luck. Alec Built: Bluenose, Arab Dhow, HMS Bounty, Hummer H1, D51, Spitfire,E type Jaguar. In Progress: HMS Victory, , Yamaha YZR-M1
Adapt, improvise, overcome.
