I am approaching deck installation and was wondering what color to stain it. Any suggestions

I real life the crew would be holy stoning the decks every day leaving them looking white. Just using a clear coat/varnish or Danish oil on the natural wood planked deck will darken it so it goes yellow in hue. For a stain you could look at a light oak or any light wood stain of your choice but beware that the deck its self under construction had all the excess glue removed from the upper surfaces of the wood. If not completly removed you can get white patches where the stain will not penatrate due to the presence of glue on the wood.
