No building this week as the only parts are the battery box and charger / meter. Start of the electronics with the next issue.

It's amazing how well the battery box fits once you have the bracket for it the right way round!!! - LoL ;)

R2D2 now has a brain installed, but not connected up yet, that happens much later.

Construction has been halted until such time that the covid-19 is gone, (I am staying indoors to avoid getting infected, as mum is in the vulnerable group)!

I finally have the last 5 issues. Not sure when I will get round to actually doing anything with them though, as the model building area is currently full of a Tamiya 1:14 scale Knight Hauler rc truck.

I need to redo the wiring in r2d2 and make things a lot neater before plugging things in, just hope I can get the plugs out without damage. It would have been nice to have the information about routing wires before the information about plugging wires into places!

Decided to keep R2D2 as a static model, so it doesn't matter if the wiring is no good or not. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, it is finished!

Looking forward to seeing the first completed Australian R2. My shipments have stopped due to Covid, so looks as though ECD for my little R2 unit is now being pushed into 2021. Mine too will end up being a static unit in my Star Wars themed cinema. :-) BUILDING: Taking a break / Waiting for the next epic build to be released

Here we go, effectively all finished as a static R2D2. Good luck with your one S4Simon.

If I was to wire him up, I will have to get another issue 94 from the newsagent, since there would be no other way to get a new MCU, as I don't have a subscription!
