In the build manual of the de Agostini E Type they initially mention that one should use an A23 battery for the LEDs..... at the end of the manual they say three button-cell type LR44 batteries should be used..... the A23 is a 12v battery, the LR44s are 1.5v batteries which would put the total voltage at 4.5 volts. Does it matter which route you take, will either do? I know that the A23 does not fit in the battery compartment provided, but wondered if both combinations were okay? I would like to use 1 A23 but I'm scared of damaging the circuit board.

Use the 3 x LR44's. The original suggestion early in the build wasn't correct.
