Hello all! I am new here to the forum, however I have lurking for some time. I am kinda new to the whole subscription build concept, i am not sure how it has escaped me for so long! I've gone a little nuts and I am currently collecting the EM Delorean and Ecto 1, Deagostini Charger, EM Willy's Jeep (when it comes out) Hachette Honda S800, and Hachette Disney Doll house. I was collecting the Hachette VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross, but had to stop. My problem is I want them all! The Hachette Honda S800 and Disney Doll House I have to buy issue-by-issue from Amazon Japan (EXPENSIVE). The Honda is 1/6 and is a dream! It's the only one I am building at the moment and saving the rest for later. It's a bit of a nightmare to get the issues, essentially I have to buy them right when they come which is usually 8am here, which is midnight in Japan. They get snapped up fast, then 3rd party sellers make it nearly impossible to get.
Aaannnyyyway...introduction aside, I've got a question. Why I am seeing different brands selling the same model. For instance, I had to buy a couple of issues of the Delorean separately from my subscription. I found the individual issues on Amazon Japan and they are branded Deagostini instead of Eaglemoss. Also, I noted that the forthcoming Eaglemoss Willy's Jeep appears to be the Hachette subscription that just ended. Likewise with the Hachette Terminator being released by Agora.
Like I said, I am loving the whole concept of these builds. I have stopped building 1/10 scale RC trail rigs. I really do want them all, especially the Hagwarts Express. Regardless of the brand I am just glad there is such a huge variety. In my limited experience it seems that the Hachette seems to have an edge on quality, but I can only judge that against the few issues of the Delorean I have built.
Thanks in advance for responses :)

Welcome!
Once the molds are cut, they tend to travel around. For instance, the Jeep is currently being sold in Italy by DeAgostini. Others have gone through the various makers as well, such as the 1/8 LaFerrari. Centauri had it first, now it’s with DeAgostini Russia.
This is going to sound like I’m badmouthing a competitor, but take what Eaglemoss USA says will be coming with a grain of salt. I’m STILL waiting for their classic Batmobile from 2 years ago. They tend to not produce what they say they have coming...
Btw, I’m out in Reno, but my kids all live in SLC/S. Ogden. I get out there fairly often.

Well, I am okay with the sharing as long as it means access to the all the different models out there. As with Eaglemoss, I swear I once saw a Ferrari F-40 on there briefly. I hope that when I have completed my current subscriptions the GT-40 will still be available. I have also seen a Ford F100 from a Brazilian company. I'd really love to see that one come available.
My brother-in-law used to live in Reno and we would visit often. We'd stop there a lot on our way to northern California. I like it out there quite a bit. Hot August Nights is so cool, I LOVE Lake Tahoe. Last time we were up there we took the kids to see the wild horses, so awesome.

Salvat is the Brazilian company. I’d also love the F-100! They also have a fantastic Mercedes W-196 that I’d kill for. The F-100 would look amazing, done up as an old ranch beater, with a load of hay bales in the bed!
