I am trying to add some extra rigging using some light coloured "rope" If I use superglue it discolours the "rope". If I use PVA it comes unravelled.

Is there a fast setting glue that does not discolour the rope?

Thanks
You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

The very nature of the majority of glues means that they soak into thread, and there lies the problem; PVA should work, have you tried neat PVA?

I understand the nature of the glue Tomick but is there a glue that doesn't darken the tread as much as superglue?

I may have to resort to neat PVA but as the drying time is much longer and the thread I am trying to glue very fiddley I may have to use a peg and clamp jig to hold the long ends of the thread in place before I then cut them to size.

Thanks Tomick

You could try 'Gator's Grip' glue which is a new to the market and is water based acrylic glue similar in appearance to white PVA, or even 'Formula 560' canopy glue, which is another PVA type glue but is flexible, fast drying and dries clear; its generally used for bonding plastic canopies to almost anything, but it might just do the trick, and to some extent it also depends on what your thread is made up of.
