Hi John,
That’s fine and thank you for looking.
I still can’t make out where I seem to have so little room on these bulwarks.
As you say, my previous method of gun alignment will work.
CHRIS.

It's hard to see what's wrong here Chris, I must say. The height of mine is 3 planks i.e. 15mm and positioned in the middle.

I notice on the first picture, the pilot hole is not in the centre of the plank. Also, it's hard to tell from the photograph but the cannons do look 'tall'. Were the wheels placed on correctly?

It looks like a slightly higher wedge might be all you need here

Hi John,
The bulwarks are between 15 and 15.5 high and the holes drilled are central in the marked out gun ports (as per the instructions). The cannons are currently “standard” build.
As I mentioned earlier, I think I will be using the same method as the gun deck to get them locating more centrally.
I’ll post up some photos when I get this stage of the build completed. Thanks for your continued interest.
Chris.

Progress photos on work at rear of quarterdeck.
Drilling the holes for dummy cannons next then start looking at building up cabin partitions and planking of poop deck.

Sorry, getting a strange error message which means I cannot upload photos right now.

Hi budgie,
Yes, I'm glad you feel the same as me about these things.
I'm getting a message about lack of disk space?

Now that is some neat work Love
Man he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be

Some advice please?
I have now completed planking of the poop deck and my next task is cutting the cross beams on the quarterdeck and lining the opening.
However, I keep looking at the cannon rigging and thinking that I should fit them now while access is still reasonable (ie no cappings on the bulwarks etc. I realise that I can build my own model how I like, but can anyone advise why this would not be a good time to fit the cannons?
Thanks in advance.
Chris

Can't think of any reason why you can't go ahead and fit the cannons now Chris..... Can you confirm what build stage you are working on now?

Thanks for that Alan. It's really the cannons up against the cabins that I want to fit earlier than instructed.
I am currently at Stage 59/60.

A bit more progress on my build.
I will be jumping ahead in the sequence and adding the bulwark internal mouldings and the two guns nearest to the cabins.
I just feel that, for me, these parts are easier to fit now before the bulwark capping are added.
Next task is to trim out the deck opening and add the beams, ladders etc.
