Pack 3

Stage 11: The Countermeasure launchers.

Stage 11 Contains:
Port countermeasure launcher, Starboard countermeasure launcher, 3x BM Screws.

Retrieve the fuselage from Stage 10. Fit the port countermeasure launcher ( they are labelled 'L' and 'R' to avoid confusion) into the corresponding holes on the port side of the fuselage. Locate the dowel into the forward hole, then secure from underneath with one of the BM screws provided. Repeat this process for the starboard side.

This completes Stage 11. Store any unused parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use.

Stage 12: Wing attachment fittings.

Stage 12 Contains:
6x Wing attachment fitting bottom plate, 6x Wing attachment fitting top plate, 15x GM Screws.

Lay the upper fuselage assembly on a soft cloth, underside facing upwards. The bottom wing attachment fitting plates sit into the recesses in the side of the frame. Making sure they are seated fully and straight, secure with GM screws.

Turning the fuselage over, the upper wing attachment fitting plates slot into the recesses above the bottom plates just fitted. These are then secured with more GM screws

This completes Stage 12. Store any unused or left-over parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use.

Stage 13: Frame assembly.

Stage 13 Contains:
Frame No.4, Frame No.5A, 5x CM Screws.

Again laying the upper surface of the fuselage on a soft cloth, fit frame No.4 into the front of the fuselage frame, aligning the dowel on the frame into the hole on the fuselage thus ensuring it is facing the correct way. Secure with two CM screws. Repeat this procedure with frame No.5A.

This completes Stage 13. Store any unused or left-over parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use.

Stage 14: Frame assembly.

Stage 14 Contains:
frame No.6B, Frame No.7, 3x DM Screws, 3x CM Screws.

Continuing from Stage 13, fit frame No.6B into the fuselage behind frame No.5A, aligning the wholes and securing with two CM screws

(WARNING: Here in the instructions it tells you to use DM screws, but as there are only 3, they are better used for the next frame section) .

Secure frame No.7 at the end of the fuselage, again aligning the dowel on the frame with the hole in the fuselage, and secure with the DM screws.

This completes Stage 14. Store any unused or left-over parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use.

Stage 15: Port mainwheel hydraulics..

Stage 15 Contains:
Port landing gear wall, Port mainwheel hydraulics mount, Port mainwheel hydraulics shaft, Pivot, Cylinder and 2x HM Screws.

Insert the pins on the port mainwheel hydraulics mount into the holes in the hydraulics cylinder, pushing both parts together. These go in at a slight angle, so make sure you get them aligned correctly.

With the cylinder at the bottom relative to the two pieces just put together, fit the pivot into the end of the cylinder with the lug uppermost. You might find it easier here to pre-thread the screw into the hole before assembling to ease the passage of the screw through the pivot.

Carefully insert the hydraulics shaft into the open end of the cylinder. Because it is a tight fit, thread something like a cocktail stick through the eyelet and use a screwing motion to ease it into place. Test that the shaft can move in and out of the cylinder.

This completes Stage 15, and Pack 3. Store any unused or left-over parts in a stage-labelled bag for future use.
