Got it powered up and using the app over the local network, but many of the things in the head don't work properly or at all.
The short LCD on the front doesn't turn on at all (verified that it's working with test board, so it's not the display itself)
The long LCD on the back stays on constantly, the button in the app doesn't turn it off.
The projector stays on constantly (it also flashed while going into pairing mode rather than the blue light)
The projector is constantly playing the Luke video but won't play the Leia video
It doesn't seem like the Red/Blue/Green/Yellow lights are changing in the right way.
The lightsaber won't pop up

Controlling it works just fine, leg motors are fine and head rotates just fine, camera works fine.

I've checked the wire connections to the head and they're all the right orientation and secure, but it looks to me like somehow the signals are going to the wrong components.

Sounds and looks like you’ve got cables mixed up somewhere. I would thoroughly check all cables at both ends and check you’ve got them labelled correctly. It is very time consuming, I know , I’ve been there.

None of the cables are mixed up, each thing is plugged in to the correct thing in the head on that chip. I tried switching some things around, but while it would make things turn on, they don't function properly.

With the plugs in the correct positions:

-When turning on, the projector will start flashing rapidly and then just plays the Luke video over and over
-It will only play the Luke video
-The long LCD stays on constantly, hitting the button in the app to toggle it does nothing
-The short LCD doesn't turn on (though I've verified that the LCD works ok)
-The lightsaber doesn't pop up when hitting the lightsaber button, but I had it go up and down over and over for a moment while having it toggled up and then toggling the short LCD button on.
-When having it play a hologram on the projector, the front light goes bright blue, otherwise it shows as a dim red
-the back light shows dim green.

If you’ve got things coming on on startup that shouldn’t be, check the cables on the mcu, check they are labeled correctly, and in the right way round. It still points to a cable problem. Maybe take pictures of the inside wiring and a video as I can’t see what is going on.

Here's a video:
https://youtu.be/f8WcIyUkqkg

I can't show trying to use the app since my phone doesn't allow it to continue recording when I switch apps, but you can see from the startup the stuff in the head aren't working correctly

Can’t quite see, but can you check the H-out and C-in cables are in the correct way round. Check at both the mcu and dome circuitry. The connectors have a slot which should only fit one way but can easily be reversed, which would give you the wrong lights on startup.
Also, just check that the blue, black and red cables are in the right slots in the dome circuitry.
I’m sure you’ll get there, let me know.

Got it fixed, the plug going into the body was flipped the wrong way, you could see in the photo the plastic plug it was going into was bent out a bit from the notches being aligned wrong. Thanks
