Quarterdeck trimmed out, skid beams and ladders added. Just the top 3x3 trimmer sections to add. The bulwark capping strips are causing a delay. The 12x2 strip is missing from pack 60 and 2 of the 10x2 strips from pack 58 are so badly cut that I cannot use them. New strips ordered from local modelling shop but due to Royal Mail hold-ups, I have no idea when they will arrive. goddo attached the following image(s):

New toys arrived this morning. First one was a couple of pairs of hackle pliers which I am using to hold rigging blocks. The original surgical grips that I was using are a little too tight on some of the small blocks. Second one was a supply of 10mm stanchions to replace the brass eye bolts supplied with the kit. I just think they look a little better. Not everyone's choice, but I like them. Third toy to arrive was the box of assorted drill bits. With a little bit of diligence, I can keep them sorted into sizes......he said!! goddo attached the following image(s):

Progress has not been as I would have liked but the main mast is now complete and the gunwale capping are fitted after a bit of a delay due to broken parts in the issues. I also fitted the two rear guns while the capping were off to make my fumbling a bit easier! I hope everyone is managing to stay safe and healthy and getting plenty of modelling done. goddo attached the following image(s):

I have now made up the main and fore masts and spars. Painted/varnished and rigged for no sails display. Update of how hull painting is going. Portside all painted and some lower wriggles added. Some touching in required. Starboard side has just had masking tape removed and some more touching in is required before moving on. goddo attached the following image(s):

Ordered from Amazon without really reading the full text. Couldn't be bothered to send them back but I have to say that some of the smaller ones are hard to see let alone use!

This is looking very good. Its amazing how we "all" think we are not making progress fast enough, but we work with the time we have and produce the best end results and this is proof of what I am saying. Keep it coming, I`m enjoying following this one. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Morning all, I trust everyone is safe and well from Covid-19? I must say this section of the website seems to have gone very quiet. I was just reading issues 111-115 of the official build of Sovereign Of The Seas and noticed a photo of a nifty little template/scraper for profiling narrow strips of decorative beading. Is this item freely available or did it only get issued to subscribers of that particular kit? I am sure this subject will have been discussed before but I have not seen anything. If it is available, I would quite like to buy one. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Chris. PS. More update pics of my HMS Victory build will hopefully be posted soon.

Hi, Goddo The shapers you are looking for are out of stock on Modelspace and as we are awaiting the resurrection of Artesania Latina, then I fear they may be hard to locate. If you want to search for some then copy/paste this into your browser. Artesania Micro Shapers No1 Art-27300 Hope this helps Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
