Does anybody know the size of the doweling for the upper strip on the stem post. The doweling is missing from my issue, and I haven't been able to get hold of any at de Agostini

Diameter of the dowel is quoted in stage 44 of the Official build as being 4mm. The dowel was supplied in stage 43.....

Steve, As you say, the dowel for the stem post is stated as 4mm diameter and 20mm long in stage 43.
If DeAg can’t help you, maybe a modelling shop that sells timber would be the next step? A small offcut in back of the shop maybe?
Or even a DIY centre would have some short dowels used in flat pack furniture that could be sanded down.
Just a thought.
Good luck.

If all you need is a small length of 4mm dowel PM me you address and I drop some in the post, say 40mm should be enough
