Hi,I've just joined this forum as I have been looking for a new poject to do after finishing my U96 after 2 1/2 years work .I've decided to make the Yamato, I've not received it yet but would appreciate any advice about this model particularly paint colours and the best makes to use.I've looked at the Humbrol & Revell range and I can't find any battle ship gray.Any paint numbers you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks Dave 71

Tamiya "Kure grey" is the correct grey = XF-75 in pot form or TS-66 in aerosol.
The hull red is XF-9 or TS-33

In the build manual photos I have noted they use Mr Hobby paints (#32 Dark Gray and #29 Hull Red). Current WIP: IJN Yamato Completed builds: Scottish Maid, HMS Victory (Caldercraft) & HM Sloop Brig Speedy (Vanguard Models) Web: https://modelshipworld.c...-model-space-1250-scale/
