In the 70's, the model kit company Ertl released a LOT of popular Star Trek models - one of them was the Star Trek Exploration set. This included the Phaser, Tricorder & Communicator. Great models - but - they were, after all, styrene plastic.

Now, if Model-Space could get the rights, as Eaglemoss has done for the ships ... then it could produce a high-quality prop-quality set, complete with electronics, lights, sounds, etc. - as a parts kit.

There are literally THOUSANDS of people worldwide who'd want this. There USED TO BE a very complicated set of kits available from Roddenberry.com - however, these were discontinued.

A simpler to assemble kit (like the R2-D2), with the super-high quality Model Space is known for, would make these kits highly sought after.

Tricorder would be nice, but I've already got a Wand phaser and Wand communicator (which pairs to a cell phone for taking calls).
