In Pack 13 we start by fitting the radiator pipes. No dramas here, with everything going together as it should. The details and Lambda probe plugs followedf in the same vein. Where i do encounter an issue is with the two limit switches, which attach to the frame. It's a case of 'square peg and round hole' - literally! The hole on the frame would need to have a slot created for the switch to fit, so instead i shaved the end of the switch off and superglued it in place! Not ideal but will do the job (and no-one will be any the wiser once bodywork is fitted). The failead slotted into place easy enough, but the cap need a little glue to keep it in place on the frame. Pack 13, continued..... The two lambda probes slide onto the pins on the two rubber tubes. Both the photos and the instructions are awful here, and initially i got the probes the wrong way round, but working out how they fitted in the next stage, i swapped them around and popped them in place. The pipes from the Lambda probes slid on easily enough, but added a touch of glue to be safe. Next we build up the hydraulic circuit parts, with the only real issue here is the bend on the shorter pipe where it attaches to the support plate. The supports and fairleades come next, which just snap into place on the frame. The clutch cable is then threaded through the smaller one. This completes Pack 13. Hi Gray, Coming along a treat now, as you say some instructions and photos are a bit vague and I have found out to my cost that it pays to read the instructions at least three times before commencing assembly. Thanks Alec, i'm glad it's not just me that thinks the instructions could be better! The support stand was only a tenner from Fleabay, and is actually a PCB holder . It doesnt clamp it so much as holds it but i found it easier to store and move about when needed. Regards Gray

Here we assemble Pack 14, which starts with Stage 51, more details and Lambda probes. First, though we need to attach another fairlead to the right side of the frame, in front of the last fairlead, and thread the clutch cable through it. We then attach the plate that came with this issue to the frame, below the fairleads, locating the pins into their respective holes. Two caps are then fitted into the holes in the frame to cover the screwheads visible in the frame. The two Lambda probes slide into the two tubes and are attached to the Lambda sensors and fitted to the bracket using the locating pins in the probes. CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):

Stage 52 sees us assemble and fit the hydraulic pump and bracket. The pump coupling simply pushes into the hole in the lever. Next, the cap is glued onto the top of hydraulic pump, and the pump assembly fitted to the pump bracket. A spring is inserted into the pump, pushing it fully home. The bracket and lever are fitted, inserting the rod on the lever through the spring, and into the hydraulic pump. The lever is then secured with a screw. In Stage 53 we assemble the right footrest. First, we attach the hydraulic pump assembly to the footplate. Its just a simple push-fit. The upper plate fits in the same manner. The right footpeg slides onto the dowel on the assembly. It will only go one way because of flat spot on the dowel. The rear brake peddle slots in to hole below it. Fitting this assembly to the frame caused a slight headache, as it wouldn't sit right due to one of the screws protruding from the blue exhaust bracket mount. After a bit of fettling, i got it to sit where it should, but the lower screw wouldn't tighten fully home, and i didn't want to force it too much. It's holding, but not as it should. The final stage for this pack, Stage 54, is the fitting of the protection plate. First, we retrieve the Lambda probe plugs from Stage 51, and connect them to the sensors on the right hand side. The leads are attached to the bracket also fitted in Stage 51, tucking the ends of the tubes under the clutch cable, and loosely inside the chassis for now. The protection plate is fitted so that it sits over the exhaust, and is held in place by a screw. Seems a bit strange here to use a slotted screw, as it really doesn't fit with the rest The left footpeg and bracket need to be stored away safely as not used in this Stage. This completes Pack 14. Pack 15 starts with Gear lever assembly. Retrieving the footpeg bracket and left footpeg from Stage 54, the footpeg bracket inserts into the open end of the footpeg. You can't get the orientation wrong as the peg has a half-moon shape inside. Aligning the flat spot, it just slides on. The gear lever slots into the hole below where the footpeg was inserted, and held in place with a screw. Don't over-tighten as the lever need to move fairly freely. Fitting the linkage comes next. The ind with the pin goes towards the hole, and is again held in place with a screw. Attach the top plate by locating the two pins on the underside. The assembly is then screwed to the frame. Taking the tube that we fitted in Stage 49, this goes onto the pin on the gear linkage. The linkage is then attached selector arm. CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):

Stage 56 provides the parts for the Airbox. They assemble by aligning the pins into the holes - simples The Airbox assembled in Stage 37 (yes that long ago ) mounts on top of the throttle bodies, the narrower end feeding between through the front end of the chassis first. Stage 57: The Subframe. First job is to attach the fairlead. Again, you cant get it the wrong way up, as one of the pins is larger than the other. The longer of the two tubes slides onto the pin on the blue end of the connector. The shorter piece slides onto the other end. I found i had to use a toothpick to widen the tubes slightly to make them fit easier. I also had to shorten the smaller tube, as it was about 10mm too long! bending the shorter tube, it fits onto the pin on the hydraulic assembly. It looks a bit floppy as there is nowhere to mount the connector, other than pushing the tube through the fairlead fitted earlier. CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):

In stage 58, we assemble the subframe air intake. I don't know about anyone else, but these parts were a bit sub standard? The lower intake had a a layer of what i can only describe as 'film' on the inside where the carbon-effect would be visible. I cleaned it off and fitted it to the subframe supplied in Stage 57. The upper air intake would not fit properly at all, even though it has two holes and a ridge to line everything up. I had to us my pin vice to open these holes a bit, and that sorted that issue. Just to be onn the safe side i also ran some Tamiya Extra Thin along the seams. The final part for this Stage, and in fact this Pack, is to attach the plate to the front of the upper air intake half, with the tab facing forward. CaptnBirdseye attached the following image(s):
